This Privacy Policy explains how GTO Solutions ("we", "us", "our") handles
information in the Watch Collection mobile application (the "App"). We designed the
App to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not use advertising,
and we do not track your behaviour for marketing.
1. Information we collect
Account identifier. When you first open the App, we create an
anonymous account through Firebase Authentication. This is a random user ID that lets
us store and sync your collection. It is not linked to your real identity.
Google account (optional). If you choose to sign in with Google to back up
or restore your collection, we receive your email address and basic Google
profile information associated with that account.
Your collection content. Information you enter about your watches — such as
brand, model, reference, purchase details, notes and valuations — and any photos
you add. This content is stored in the cloud (Firebase) so it can sync across your devices.
2. Information we do NOT collect
No advertising identifiers and no third-party advertising.
No analytics or behavioural tracking.
No location data.
No access to your contacts, calls or messages.
3. How we use your information
To provide the App's core features: storing, organising and displaying your watch collection.
To back up and synchronise your collection across your devices.
To authenticate you and keep your data associated with your account.
4. Where your data is stored and who processes it
Your data is stored and processed by Google Firebase, acting as our data
processor, using the following services:
Firebase Authentication — anonymous accounts and optional Google sign-in.
Firebase Realtime Database — your collection details and valuations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with
third parties for advertising. Your data is only processed by Google (Firebase) as the infrastructure
provider described above, and disclosed if required by law.
6. Data retention and deletion
You can delete individual watches and photos from within the App at any time.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the
address below. We will delete your data from Firebase within a reasonable period.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA under the GDPR), you may have the right to access,
correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these
rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from
children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will
delete it.
9. Security
We rely on Google Firebase's security infrastructure and access rules to protect your data.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an
updated "Last updated" date.
